Welcome to Kibibi Acres!

We are located in Groton, New York, in the beautiful Finger Lakes region.

My goal at Kibibi Acres is to maintain a small, healthy herd of Nigerian dwarf goats, bred for dairy characteristics. I always have at least one doe in milk, and I use the wonderful milk to make cheese, lotion, soap, and just as-is.

I clicker train my goats. Lulu, currently my youngest doe, is also certified as a Cornell Companion Animal, which means that she is allowed to go to hospitals, senior care facilities, college campuses, and other places to bring cheer to the residents.

My goats are tested annually for CAE, CL, and Johne's diseases.  All were negative for these diseases at last testing in August 2014.

NOTE: Does will be bred in Fall 2014 for kids in Spring 2015. See the 'Does' tab for details. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing a kid in 2015: Marla@kibibiacres.com. Thank you!

The herd name Kibibi Acres and the does are registered with American Goat Society.  We are members of the Central New York Dairy Goat Society and the New York State Dairy Goat Breeders Association.

The story started with a little Nigerian dwarf goat named Kibibi, which is Swahili for "little woman".  She was one of my first goats.  Despite her diminutive size, she has a large heart.

Though Kibibi is no longer with us, fond memories of her and her amazing spirit help keep this mini farm full of joy and life.

Thanks for visiting, and please check back for updates.
